Cupra Marittima

Cupra Marittima, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, is one of the most beautiful seaside resorts in the Marche. It has been relatively recently discovered as by an élite tourism, attracted by the intimate and discrete charme of a familiar and relaxing town. Apart from being known as a tourist resort, Cupra Marittima is also very interesting from a historical, architectural and cultural point of view.

Every year since 2013, its crystal clear waters have been awarded the Blue Flag (the prestigious recognition conferred by the European Union to municipalities with excellent sea water quality, well-maintained town facilities, full operation of purification systems and high quality tourist services). For the sixth consecutive year Cupra Marittima has also been awarded with the flag for touristic sites.

Cupra Marittima together with Grottammare and San Benedetto del Tronto are called “Riviera delle Palme” because along this stretch of coast there are numerous kinds of palm trees. These three towns are linked by a long cycle path which runs along the coast making it very enjoyable to go for a bike ride or a walk.
